A report written during phase 3 of a Jisc funded project called "Filling the Digital Preservation Gap". The project was a collaboration between the Universities of Hull and York and during this final phase of the project they each worked to produce a proof-of-concept implementation of a preservation workflow for their local research data repository. In addition to describing the work done to augment local repository systems, the report looks at the issue of research data file formats and the challenges involved in identifying these files automatically with current tools and registries. Finally the report details the outreach work that the project team carried out during phase 3 through presentations, publications and blog posts.
