This is the final report of the JISC-funded History DMP Project undertaken by the University of Hull in 2011/12.

The History DMP Project at Hull was the first step in developing a better approach to research data management within the University. Building on the established data management practices of individuals within the Department of History, and on acknowledged ‘best practice’ guidance, the project worked with researchers to frame a departmental approach. The data management plan (DMP) thus developed will support future research strategy and provide a coherent platform for data sustainability. It was the intention that, post-project, the work done with this particular department would be adapted to other subject areas.
